Vaping Offer for Schools
2 October 2026
The Council are pleased to share the new Vaping Support Pathway, designed to help students who want to stop vaping and to provide schools with clear practical guidance.
The aim of the pathway is to ensure that young people receive timely, appropriate support and that staff feel confident in how to respond when concerns arise.
What the council ask from schools:
- Please share the attached documents with relevant staff.
- Please review your school’s vaping policy to ensure it aligns with current guidance and reflects the support now available.
- If you have any concerns regarding illegal vape sales, these can be reported to the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 0808 223 1133 or online at: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/report
Young people can either self-refer to the services or be referred by their school. Before making a referral, we encourage you to discuss the available support options with the student to ensure they understand the process and are willing to take part. Quit Right provide stop smoking support for both nicotine smoking and vaping.
