Meet the new Assistant Director for Learning and Inclusion
11 March 2026
Tonnie is due to start with Waltham Forest on Monday 1 June:
"I am excited to be joining Waltham Forest as Assistant Director for Learning and Inclusion. I have been a Headteacher since 2009 and most recently served as Executive Headteacher of the All Saints’ Partnership, where I led a group of Church of England primary schools across London. In this role, I worked closely with leaders, staff and communities to strengthen teaching and learning, develop leadership at all levels and enable schools to work collaboratively to secure the very best outcomes for children.
I am passionate about ensuring that every child and young person – particularly those who are most vulnerable – is able to flourish, and about building the capacity of schools and services to work together to achieve this. My leadership is rooted in strong relationships, moral purpose and a belief that high expectations and high support must go hand in hand. Central to this is the importance of belonging – for children and young people, for families and for the professionals who serve them – because when people feel that they belong, they thrive.
I am particularly looking forward to getting to know Waltham Forest’s schools and partners, and to working together to develop ambitious, inclusive learning opportunities for all children and young people across the borough".
