London RISE Open Education Fortnight

London RISE invites colleagues from all local authority schools, to attend one or more professional development events during London RISE Open Education Fortnight: Encore.
The event is being held weeks beginning Monday 2 November and Monday 9 November 2026.
Event Overview
The event will:
- Enable colleagues who were unable to attend in March to see strong practice
- Share effective approaches across London
- Strengthen collaboration and professional learning
London RISE will deliver a free, London-wide programme of school visits aligned to four national priorities: Attendance; Mainstream Inclsuion; Reception quality and Attainment.
What to expect
The fortnight will include school visits, open classrooms, and 2 to 3 hour workshops led by host schools, showcasing effective practice and practical strategies linked to priority areas. It also provides opportunities to connect, collaborate, and build professional relationships across London schools for the benefit of all pupils.
Registration and Practical Information
- Visits are free professional development opportunities
- Schools may charge for minor costs (e.g. refreshments, materials)
- Hosts determine:
Audience (e.g. headteachers, senior leaders, SENCOs, subject leads)
Capacity (typically 5-25 participants)
- Sessions must take place within published dates
