London RISE Open Education Fortnight

The Department for Education is pleased to announce the launch of the London RISE Open Education Fortnight, a new pan London initiative designed to support sector wide professional development and the sharing of strong and effective practice.

The programme brings together schools from across London to showcase approaches that are making a positive difference to children’s learning and development. Between 9 and 18 March 2026, schools will be hosting visits focused on the four national education priority areas:

  • Attendance
  • Inclusion
  • Best Start in Life
  • Attainment

Participating schools are generously offering to share their practice free of charge. In some cases, a small cost may be attached where additional services, such as catering or bespoke materials, are provided.

To find out more, and to book a visit to one of the host schools, please visit the London RISE Open Education Fortnight website.

We hope you and your teams will take up this opportunity to connect with colleagues across London and share effective practice through this collaborative programme.
