Update on Mental Health Resource Kooth

NEL ICB (informed by NELFT) will not renew its contract with Kooth beyond 31st December 2025. This decision reflects feedback from children and young people preferring app-based support, the need for better integration with NHS and voluntary sector services, assurance of clinical quality standards and the need to make better value for money decisions that meet local needs. New registrations closed on 7  November 2025 and current users will receive a safe handover to alternative services. A banner is on the Kooth website to redirect users to other support options. We thank Kooth for their contribution and remain committed to delivering digital mental health support.

If you’d like to speak to someone directly about your emotional wellbeing and mental health, your Kooth counsellor can guide you. There are a few options such as Mental Health in schools teams, your GP, Talking Therapies (16+), CAMHS, school nursing, or local voluntary services.
