Apprenticeships Offer

Waltham Forest Apprenticeships currently have access to £1.8 million in funding for apprenticeships. This is a significant opportunity to invest in the skills gaps by providing up-to-date and relevant training.

Here is an overview of the apprenticeship programmes the council can support to enhance development opportunities within education:

Leadership: can be suitable for Teaching/Non-Teaching and non-schools

  • L3 Team Leader – Aspiring leaders/supervisors looking at their first steps into leadership  
  • L5 Operations Manager – Front line managers who leading the services strategic goals – Head of Years/Curriculum 
  • L6 Chartered Degree Manager – Taking responsibility for the services long term success – Head of Service/Head Teachers, assistant/deputy Head Teachers
  • L7 Senior Leader – (Available until 31 December 2025 for those over 21 years old, next cohort November 2025 with application closing October 2025) – suitable for Heads of Service/Assistant and Associate Directors and Directors – Assistant/Deputy Heads, Headteachers
