Verbo is coming to schools in Waltham Forest!
23 April 2026
Schools in Waltham Forest will soon have access to Verbo, an NHS-developed digital toolkit designed to support speech, language and communication needs in the classroom.
Initial rollout
Verbo will initially be rolled out to schools, with access for other age groups being introduced shortly afterwards as part of a staggered rollout across the borough.
What Verbo provides
- Evidence-based screening tools
- Personalised intervention targets
- Training webinars and intervention videos for teachers, SENCos and support staff
Getting started
There will be an online training session to introduce you to Verbo and where there will be a demonstration on the toolkit and explain how schools can begin using it.
- Primary Schools – Tuesday 12 May 2026 at 4pm to 5pm – Register here
- Secondary Schools - Tuesday 19 May 2026 at 4pm to 5pm – Register here
Details for system requirements can be found here.
Who to attend?
We recommend that all SENCos attend this training. We also encourage each setting to identify one or two additional staff members to act as Verbo Champions. These individuals will support the SENCo in leading the rollout and help foster wider staff engagement and understanding.
Please see the posters attached for details of the training including a QR code to register or use the link above.
Following the training, schools will be able to activate their access to Verbo.
We encourage all schools to attend the training session and get started with Verbo as part of this rollout.
