Did you know that every ward in Waltham Forest has a dedicated Safer Neighbourhoods Team made up of police officers working locally? Each SNT works closely with the Council, community leaders and residents to develop the policing priorities in that area.

As teachers you'll have first-hand knowledge of the struggles facing local young people; to raise issues, ask for support or just find out what's being done in the local area, please reach out to your SNT. For urgent matters please call 999.

In Chingford Mount and South Leytonstone, the Council and Police are collaborating on a pilot called Safe Streets, which you can read more about below.
