Family Hubs
27 August 2024
As we begin the new school year we want to remind everyone in our Education community that there is a wealth of support available to children, young people and their parents / carers via our Family Hubs.
Every family needs some kind of support, no matter the age of their children. That’s why our new Family Hubs provide an upgraded programme of activities and support for parents and young people of all ages.
Family Hubs have expanded the range of work previously done at Children and Family Centres, through
- Best Start in Life activities for 0 to 5 year olds
- as well as support through the Space4All programme for young people aged up to 19 or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities,
- and the Early Help Service's wide range of support for parents.
Waltham Forest's four Family Hubs are a one-stop shop to access the support families need, physically open 5 days a week with some weekend provisions including an accessible supportive phone line.
