This year the theme for Anti-Bullying Week is 'Make A Noise About Bullying' and will take place from Monday 13th to Friday 17th November. The week will be kicked off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 13th November, where adults and children wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

  • Our second speaker will be a Career Lead from a school for young people with severe and complex needs.
  • Networking between Career Leads to share challenges within your school, what is working well, what could work better, and hear best practices from other Career Leads.
  • The Local London Careers Hub will also share an overview of the distance travelled and the progress made by special schools in our boroughs and provide a brief snapshot of our work with you in addition to dates in the diary for this academic year.

Introduction to Safeguarding Adults Board’s priority for 2023/25: Team Around the Person - Online on Teams at 10am to 11am.

The training session will introduce professionals to Team Around the Person Network, as well as outlining the aims of Waltham Forest Hoarding Project, which aims to reduce fire risks for residents who hoard and self-neglect.

AccessHE Conference

AccessHE conference, is taking place on the afternoon of 30 November 2023 as a guest. The conference is called Collaboration matters: How can we collectively improve educational outcomes and increase social mobility in London? 

With a packed agenda, the conference will set out some of the key challenges facing efforts to increase social mobility through higher education in London under the next government (national and local) and spotlight ways in which we can address these through increased collaboration.

The afternoon will have a series of case study presentations and panel discussions, initiating best practice conversations between higher education providers and other key stakeholders in London such as employers and schools. The conference will help to tease out opportunities for collaboration in the capital and increase shared understanding across the different partners in widening participation work of what constitutes effective partnership.
