Schools in Waltham Forest

Waltham Forest’s Life Chances commission outlines the strategy to the Council is taking to ensure young people in Waltham Forest have the opportunities and support to thrive during their lives.

Waltham Forest actively encourages and supports the collaboration and cooperation across all partners involved in providing childcare and education in order to achieve the best outcomes possible for children and young people living, and being educated, in the borough.

The development of the Learning Partnership in 2018 is key to driving system-led improvement and all partners, including Early Years providers & nurseries, maintained schools & academies, and sixth form colleges, are invited and encouraged to be an active member.

There are a total of seventy-seven schools in Waltham Forest, of these there are a total of:

  • Forty-four maintained schools: three nursery schools; twenty-nine infants, juniors and primary schools; seven secondary schools; one all-through school; and four special schools
  • Thirty-three academies: twenty-two infants, juniors and primary schools; seven secondary schools; one all-through school; and three special schools.

Below you will find the list of schools and the federation or academy that they are part of.
