Management and Leadership Support in the early years is very varied with each individual taking on their own approach. The expectation to motivate, inspire, support, coach, guide and train the team can be complex. We have gathered useful resources, supporting documents and advice to support you in your leadership and management role and to get the best out of the teams of people you're working with.
The Early Years Leaders course supports leaders to develop skills and techniques that will help them to lead effectively and understand what is necessary for good and outstanding outcomes for children. This course will explore the complex challenges of leadership in Early Years, creating a confidential space to share frustrations, worries and successes. We will explore leadership techniques and people management practices, to enable leaders to get the best out of themselves, their staff and their HR systems. The format is part teaching and part coaching, with a strong emphasis on peer to peer support, shared learning, and the emotional well-being of leaders.
