Protecting children and responding to child sexual abuse within the family environment
The session led by Shaista Afzal, the Principal Social Worker, explores the critical findings of the November 2024 thematic review, which examined how professionals can better identify and respond to child sexual abuse within the family environment.
MARAC (Multi-agency risk assessment conference) workshop
A MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is where professionals from police, probation, health, child protection, housing, and specialist services meet to share information on high-risk domestic abuse cases.
This half-day workshop will cover the purpose of MARAC, making appropriate referrals, how meetings work, and actions to take. Open to professionals in Waltham Forest from voluntary and statutory agencies.
