Perspective Lite Rollout

The Local Authority has made Perspective Lite (NEXUS) access available to  all Waltham Forest state-funded (maintained and academy) schools free of charge from 1 April 2026.

Schools can use it to view attainment and trend data; compare early national and regional benchmarks; access Ofsted-related analysis and inspector information and view news, reports, and real -time dashboards.

Finance: Setting Maintained School Budgets training

Please encourage that the following training sessions are attended by members of the Governing Board. While the expectation is that at minimum the Chair of Governors and the Lead Finance Governor/Chair of the Resources Committee attend, it is strongly recommended that all governors are prePRED TO participate.

Waltham Forest Education Partnership Set Up Meeting

Work is well underway on the design and planning of the Waltham Forest Education Partnership (WFEP), building on the HEP offer and shaping it to reflect Waltham Forest’s unique context and identity.

Groundwork has already been completed and all Headteachers have been invited to a WFEP Set up meeting.

Delivering Effective Approaches to Inclusive Mainstream: Early Identification of oral language needs for Reception-aged children

This session aims to outline how the Nuffield Early Language Intervention (NELI) and use of Language Screen can be used to support with SEND and inclusion. It is primarily targeted at primary and early years and will be delivered by our delivery partner NELI with contributions from schools-based colleagues.
