Waltham Forest Catering - School meals and more
The Catering team supplies food to nearly 50 schools in the Borough. They have successfully implemented “Meat-free Mondays” and “Fish Fridays” (Primary schools only), as well as introducing Vegan, Vegetarian and Pescatarian alternatives on the regular menu. Examples of other changes they have introduced in schools are: using large ice-cream tubs instead of small individual polystyrene cups; only utilising MSC (not endangered) fish; children use metal or wooden cutlery instead of plastic disposables; food is made with fresh produce that is locally sourced and most of it is delivered without any packaging.
Waltham Forest Catering offers excellent quality, freshly cooked Gold Standard school lunches, which provide on average one third of a child’s daily nutritional needs.
The principal catering provider to schools within the London Borough of Waltham Forest, they currently provide school meals to 60 primary and secondary schools, Academies and Free schools, as well as servicing schools in neighbouring boroughs such as Haringey and Redbridge.
With an established team of over 300 commercially trained and fully vetted staff, WF Catering provide a high quality, cost effective and customer focused service that includes full absence cover.
