Teachers who are working for the London Borough of Waltham Forest should refer to the separate Teachers' Pensions website for pension information.
Members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) contribute a percentage of their pay determined by their actual pensionable pay, under nine pay bands. If you are employed in more than one post then each of these are assessed separately.
Every year the pay bands are assessed and uplifted in line with the increases applied to public sector pensions. The percentage increase from 1 April 2018 for 2018-19 was 3% and the effect of this is shown in the table below. Please check the table below and your payslips to see whether the changes affect you. In the table opposite are shown the main section 50/50 section.
