Via Microsoft Teams

The DfE published an update to ‘Careers guidance and access for education and training providers’ in May 2025. “The government’s vision for careers guidance is to improve careers advice in schools and colleges and to guarantee 2 weeks’ worth of work experience for every young person”.

The training will cover:

  • An overview of the key changes and amendments
  • Role of governors: legislation, “explicit backing” of the careers education programme, development of a careers plan
  • How to support and be “actively engaged” in your school’s careers education programme. Signposting and links to resources to help your board and your school meet expectations.
