Safe and Together Model Overview

This one-day training provides participants with an introduction to, and overview of, the Safe & Togetherâ„¢ Model. The presentation provides participants with information about creating a domestic violence-informed child welfare system, the principles and components of the Safe & Together Model and information about the framework behind competency-building in child welfare around domestic violence. The training will be useful to anyone who works in the borough of Waltham Forest, and encounters families affected by domestic violence. 

The training objectives are:

  • To introduce a perpetrator pattern framework
  • To introduce and understand the Safe &Together Model principles and components and how those guide practice in various roles
  • To introduce how to use the Safe & Together Model to enhance good practice in various roles, reduce risk effectively and achieve better outcomes

Strength in Difference: The Importance of Neuro-inclusion

Strategic Partnerships is hosting a free webinar to raise awareness of neurodiversity for professionals working with young people. Neurodivergent speaker and expert J. Grange will share insights from his own experiences.

Location: On-line (Microsoft Teams)

Aims of webinar:

  • Raise awareness of neurodiversity
  • Learn more about neurodiversity, the strengths and challenges of neurodivergence, the power of thinking differently and how we can create a neuro-inclusive society

Outcomes:

  • To be neuro-inclusive, with better understanding of neurodiversity
  • Understand how to support neurodivergent individuals
