1. Complete Online Compliance Check 

Childminder Agencies who are interested in offering the FEEE, can download and complete FEEE Compliance Check for Childminder Agencies.

To ensure the quality of your submission and increase the likelihood of completing the process in a timely manner, please ensure that you refer to the help text throughout the compliance check document.

2. Submission of Compliance check  

Once you have completed your compliance check, you must send your fully completed check and supporting documents by e-mail. On receipt, the Early Years and Childcare Service will begin to evaluate each Compliance Check and a confirmation of email receipt will be sent to the childminder. 

The Early Years, Childcare and Business Development (EYCBD) Service will aim to review your completed submission within 4 weeks of your e-mail confirmation of submission. If your compliance check submission has missing and/or inaccurate/unclear documentation this will delay the process further.

Following the review undertaken by the Early Years, Childcare and Business Development (EYCBD) Service you will be provided with feedback.

If your submission is successful you will;

• receive email confirmation that your compliance check submission has met the required standards.

If you submission is unsuccessful you will;

• be provided with evaluation feedback via email that will outline the result of the evaluation and any action that needs to be taken by you to ensure that the submission meets the required standards
• once the evaluation feedback has been actioned you will be required to email the completed actions for the information to be reviewed. A confirmation of receipt email will be sent to the provider. 

Please be aware that any re submission of compliance check may result in the 4 week timeline to be re commenced.

3. Review of Second Submission

Early Year and Childcare and Business Development Service will aim to review your second submission within 4 weeks of your e-mail to confirm that your submission is complete.

If the review is successful and meets the requirements you will:

• Receive email confirmation that your submission has met the required standards.

If the review is unsucessful you will

• Be provided with feedback via  email that will outline the result of the second review and any further action that needs to be taken to ensure that the submission meets the required standards in order to be issued a contract to provide Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) places to eligible 2,3 &4 year olds 

This stage will be repeated until:

• Childminder Agency receives confirmation that submission has met the required standards.
• Childminder Agency may withdraw from the FEEE compliance check process by notifying the EYCBD service via email

4. What happens next?

You will need to have been approved for childminder agency compliance check before you can be commissioned by the local authority to deliver the FEEE; no contract will be issued until they have been approved as meeting the required standards.

The commencement date for your FEEE contract would be the date that you receive confirmation of approval of Compliance Check. 

The EYCBD will arrange for an introductory meeting with the Agency’s Early Years Lead Advisor for Waltham Forest childminders.

Please note: FEEE payments will only commence from the contract start date; no retrospective payments will be made.
