Building the Resilience of Pupils training

Waltham Forest Public Health team are offering Building the Resilience of Pupils workshop. 

This is a valuable workshop designed to support school staff in building resilience in the children they work with. 

The training will support educational staff to be able to recognise and sign post more effectively as well as being able to support children generally in relation to their emotional wellbeing (building resilience), therefore also giving confidence and language to what staff may already be doing to promote children’s mental health. 

Training will take place from 9:30 - 16:00 at Walthamstow Town Hall

For the attention of six form & college data managers and careers leaders:

Please return excel spreadsheet with all those currently enrolled in your sixth form or college.  The data will be used to provide individual Activity Survey reports for each individual secondary school.

Infectious Diseases (non-Covid) Webinar for Schools and Early Years Settings

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and Waltham Forest Council Public Health team are hosting 2 webinars for staff in schools and early years settings across the borough.

We welcome and encourage all staff members to attend these. The first webinar (27 September) will focus on how to prevent and respond to cases and outbreaks of different infectious diseases (non-Covid) in their settings.

The second session (18 October) will teach attendees about the infection prevention & control (IPC) measures they can use to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in their setting.
