SBM Network Training Offer

Training Topic: Low Carbon Skills Fund Bid Opportunity

As part of the EBE’s strategic Financial Recovery Plan, which will work with schools to provide support as they emerge from the global pandemic; developing skills and capacity is a key strand of the FRP. The training offer is aimed at SBMs and other staff with finance responsibilities in maintained schools. 

The sessions are FREE to maintained school staff and will be delivered via Microsoft Teams. To register your interest please accept the calendar invitation for the training session and ‘Join’ the meeting on the day.

Youth Mental Health Day

Youth Mental Health Day encourages understanding and discussion of mental health in young people, enabling them to live happy and healthy lives all year round. Each year, the day aims to get young people, and those who support them, talking about how to improve mental health.

On 16 September we want schools across the UK to join in acknowledging the Teaching Assistant Lockdown heroes of 2021

School Business and Office Manager Networks

The WF School Business Managers Network meets every six weeks and provides free guidance and training to school business professionals in maintained schools.

SBM Network will take place at 9.30-11.30am and OM Network will take place at 1-3pm. Both meetings will be on Microsoft Teams.

Thursday 27 September

Hospitality, Events and Culture Job Fair

On Thursday 23 September, 4pm-8pm, a Hospitality, Events and Culture JobsFest will be hosted at Truman’s Social Club, in a partnership between Truman’s, CRATE St James Street and the Council.

The festival kicks off a series of jobs events, themed by industry, in partnership with some of the best-known Waltham Forest businesses.
