SEND Board

The SEND board aims to ensure that the local authority and Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) meet their responsibilities outlined in the statutory guidance Special Education Needs and disability code of practice: 0 to 25 years.

Waltham Forest Safeguarding Children Board

The WFSCB group of professionals including police, doctors, social workers, teachers, members of the community meet regularly to make sure services are working together to keep children and young people are safe.

Friday 10 May

Early Years Business Conference

Annual business conference to provide a range of information that will support Early Years settings to maximise their income and provide quality provision and meet the needs of the families that attend their setting.

Monday 13 - Friday 17 May

Mental Health Awareness Week

More and more school children are struggling to cope with their mental health. Support the Make it Count campaign. Guides for parents, teachers and pupils are available to download on their website. 

Tuesday 14 May

Inclusion Group

The Inclusion Group is a discretionary sub group of schools forum created to provide strategic direction on a number of inclusion related matters including the use of the High Needs Budget (HNB). The group is made of representatives from headteachers and leaders from early years, schools and 16 to 19 education providers.

Wednesday 15 May

Schools Ratified Budget submission

Governing Bodies of each school must formally approve (ratify) the formal annual budget plan for each financial year.

School Census headcount date

All schools must complete statutory censuses by law.

Neglect Safeguarding Strategic Group

This subgroup for the Waltham Forest Safeguarding Children's Board works to improve the identification of neglect as early as possible through a Think Family approach.
