Waltham Forest Creative Careers Week Half Day Presentations 5-9 Oct 2020
7 September 2020
Waltham Forest Cultural Education Partnership (CEP) is offering all secondary, SEND schools and colleges a half day Creative Careers session led by a local creative in your education setting. We have a team of dynamic Waltham Forest creatives working in digital media, fashion, music, film, photography and visual arts who are looking forward to visiting your setting. Please select your art form preference when you book your slot.
Each half day session will consist of 2 x 45 minute presentations for up to a total of 60 students (max 30 for each presentation).
Each 45 minute presentation will include the CEP creative careers Powerpoint presentation followed by a short film, sharing of the creative's practice and career journey and Q&A session.
- Sessions would include any updated signposting information
- At least 2 members of school staff would need to be present
- We aim to represent a range of careers, for example, performing arts, digital media, fashion design etc. Please state your preference when you book your slot and we will aim to match your setting with a creative in this field.
- If desired we could host a live zoom follow-up session the following week for subsequent questions arising with ‘creative career doctor panel’
All creatives for the careers week will be selected for their ability to engage young people and will be required to attend a preliminary training session.
Please note we can only offer ONE half day presentation to each school/college in Waltham Forest.
COVID-19 - virtual presentation option
In light of COVID-19, settings could opt to have this half day presentation delivered virtually if preferred with a staff member/hosting/fielding questions.
