School based holiday childcare grants

Waltham Forest’s Holiday Activity Programme is part of the Leader’s Pledge to provide a universal Easter and Summer holiday programme of positive opportunities open to all children and young people (CYP) living or being educated in the borough, aged between 5 to19 years old, and up to 25 years for young people with a disability.

During 2019 the programme will continue to support schools with funding to provide childcare places for vulnerable children up to the age of 14 and to 19 for children with additional needs throughout the Easter and Summer holidays.  Following evaluation of the programme, Waltham Forest’s School-based childcare programme, will focus on supporting schools develop sustainable delivery models of school based holiday childcare provision. Funding will be available to provide places for vulnerable children with a maximum grant for of £150 per week per funded place or £200 per week per funded places within special schools. 

To apply for the funding please complete the application form and return to Fern Edwards by Friday 5 July at 5.00pm.
