The pupil register retires on Friday 20 December 2019

Unfortunately, the organisation responsible for providing the local authority with the Pupil Register tool will no longer be licensed as of Tuesday 31 December. The very last day the Early Years Childcare and Business Development Service will be able to access any reports from the system will be Friday 20 December 2019.

For the transition into January 2020 to be as smooth as possible the council are asking that ALL providers please ensure they have updated their Pupil Registers by Wednesday 18 December. This includes having added in any new confirmed starters in January for Spring term 2020. Also, please ensure that ALL 30 hour codes are re-validated in order to confirm and ensure eligibility for applicable children at least through the Spring term. The data you enter to your pupil registers will be used for the Autumn term reconciliation as well as the January Census, so it is of the utmost importance that all records are added for new children before we lose access.

The Early Years Childcare and Business Development Service would like to thank you all for your engagement with the Pupil Register and in the coming months look forward to introducing you all to the new tool they are procuring to replace it. Since introducing the Pupil Register, the service has had much useful feedback from providers on both its advantages and disadvantages and this has been considered at every stage of the procurement of the new software.

More information will be provided in due course by the Early Years finance team.
