Improving financial support for maintained schools
7 January 2020
As part of the commitment to supporting maintained schools with their financial sustainability the local authority have committed to providing free licences and support to all maintained schools for ACCESS Budgets and ACCESS Workspace. This work is being led by the Education Business Effectiveness Service.
This month we are focusing on the roll out of ACCESS Workspace, which is a cloud based portal through which the local authority will provide additional financial information, templates and guidance to its 44 maintained schools. Over the next few months schools will be supported to move to a new process for all financial submissions to upload to workspace rather than submitted by email.
School Business Manager are being supported and trained via the WF SBM Network and can attend further training on Friday 31 January please contact Bisi Oyekanmi, Education Business Projects Manager.
All maintained Headteachers will soon receive an email invitation to join workspace. If you would like to find out more about how ACCESS Budgets and ACCESS Workspace can support your school please contact EBE.Helpdesk@walthamforest.gov.uk
Please note: All maintained schools can receive free financial training for their SLT and Governors, for more information please email EBE.Helpdesk@walthamforest.gov.uk
