Funding Opportunity from the Culture and Destinations team
Deadline 8 January 2023
Make it Happen, Waltham Forest annual grants programme, is now live
Prospective applicants can bid for up to £15k to run an arts and cultural project in Waltham Forest during 2023
The deadline for applications is 8 January 2023 and information on how to apply can be found here
This year we will be accepting applications that fall under two themes
Storytelling
We are looking to support projects that help to create a more nuanced understanding of people and places in Waltham Forest, that highlight the lesser-known stories which continue to shape the changing landscape of our Borough
Climate Emergency
Over the past decade the Council have delivered programmes that have driven down carbon emissions in the Borough by 32%. We welcome proposals that highlight climate issues and inspire behaviour changes, that promote access to the many green spaces in Waltham Forest and a greater understanding of the natural world
We traditionally get a high volume of applications from Walthamstow. This year we aim to have a more balanced programme, and will therefore be prioritising projects taking place in Chingford, Highams Park, Leyton and Leytonstone. Projects in Walthamstow are still eligible however competition will be tough (as we can only fund a handful).
